The High Country High School Community Chorale began as a dream shared over 4 years ago by conductor, Pamela Hopton-Jones with Dottie Sykes, conductor of the Presbyterian-Methodist Community Children’s Choir which she has conducted for nearly 30 years. This dream has now resulted in the first High Country High School Community Chorale, an ensemble of 30 charter members. The Chorale exists to increase the appreciation of, and participation in, a high quality choral music experience by the youth of the High Country of North Carolina. By so doing, we increase the overall musical experience of the culture at large.
