The App State men’s basketball team downed MEAC opponent, Morgan State, 93-92 in overtime at the Holmes Convocation Center on Saturday.

The Mountaineers were lead by Donald Sims, who had 19 points on the evening.

Jeremi Booth helped the Mountaineers extend the game into overtime with a three-pointer with .5 seconds left in regulation.

One key stat that helped boost the Apps to victory was only turning the ball over 12 times on the night.

With the win, the Mountaineers improve to 2-3 on the year and will host the Winthrop Eagles on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Holmes Convocation Center.
