On today’s calendar around town, the Boone Town Council holds their monthly meeting tonight at council chambers. On the agenda are creating a Boone Historic Preservation Commission and a motion to reconsider the Conditional Use Zoning Issue.
That meeting starts at 6:30. The High Country Business Network will hold a networking event in Ashe County’s Jefferson Landing from 5:15 to 7pm. This is also the last day to sign up for a Watauga Entrepreneur Development Partnership program on starting your own business. It’s designed for local entrepreneurs and small business owners. Call 262-6553 for information. The Avery County Chamber of Commerce is hosting their Business Expo from 2 to 6 pm at the Best Western Motel in Banner Elk. And on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Moses Cone Manor and Parkway Craft Center open for the season.
