Appalachian State will hold its monthly test for its campus siren warning system next Wednesday, that’s December 2, at 11:55 a.m.

Jane Nicholson of the ASU News Bureau said as always, a 75-second discontinuous air horn tone will sound followed by a recorded voice saying, “This is a test.”

In the event of an actual emergency, university officials are asking residents to seek safe shelter immediately, look for more information on the University Emergency Web page at, and listen until more information is given.

Appalachian State tests their campus-wide siren system on the first Wednesday of every month.
