Watauga County authorities are looking for the person or people who broke into Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on Bamboo Road.

April Gunter of the Boone Police Department said the break-in occurred sometime this morning.

The suspect or suspects vandalized the church.  Authorities aren’t specifying what was taken, but items were also reportedly stolen from the church.
