Authorities are asking the public’s help in finding the person or people who broke into the Meat Camp Fire Department last month.

According to April Gunter of the Boone Police Department, the fire department was broken into sometime between October 26 and October 28.

The suspect or suspects took items including a thermal image camera, hand held stream lights, a defibrillator, a Husqvarna chain saw, a tool bag containing several tools, and a pair of bolt cutters, and a infrared heat light.

Anyone with information about the break-in should contact High Country Crimestoppers’ Watauga County office at (828) 268-6959.
