To celebrate Veterans’ Day, the Boone Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold a free breakfast for those who have served our country in the armed forces.

The event will run from 6:00 until 9:00 tomorrow morning at the Boone VFW on State Farm Road.  It’s free for veterans, and $6 for nonveterans.  Organizers told High Country Radio they have enough platters for around 200 residents.

After the breakfast, VFW officials will head to the Boone Mall to take part in a special Veterans’ Day ceremony.

The Watauga Community Band will begin playing at 10:30 tomorrow morning at the Boone Mall and the ceremony will begin at 11:11.
