The Appalachian State football team is ranked seventh in The Sports Network Poll this week.

Elon, which is involved in a two-way tie for first place in the Southern Conference with ASU, is sixth. Both the Apps and Elon won big last weekend. ASU (6-2 overall; 5-0 Southern Conference) blasted Furman 52-27 down in Greenville, SC; Elon won big at Wofford by a 34-6 count.

The Mountaineers and the Phoenix square off against each other November 14 down in Burlington. Richmond is No.1 for the eighth consecutive week. The Spiders, who play No.4 Villanova this week, received 123 first-place votes.
