The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has announced that the playoff pairings in soccer will be announced Monday afternoon between 12 noon and 1 pm.

Watauga High, the No.2 seed in the Northwestern 3A/4A Conference, will host a first-round game at Jack Groce Stadium. The Pioneers (4-15-1), coming off their first losing season since 1994, will play the No.2 seed from the Mega 7 3A/4A Conference.

That opponent will be either West Mecklenburg, Olympic or East Gaston. All first-round games must be completed by Wednesday.
