Watauga County authorities continue to search for the two men who robbed the Blue Ridge Savings Bank on Highway 105 in Boone several weeks ago at gunpoint.
The robbery happened on September 10 around 9:15 a.m.
According to David Osborne of the Boone P.D., his department was informed of the robbery by a hold up alarm from the bank. Officers responded to the scene, but the masked gunmen had already left the scene.
Both suspects are men who were dressed in dark-colored clothing and were wearing cloth-like coverings over their faces. Both were armed, one with a pistol, the other with a long-barreled gun.
The suspects left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information about this crime should contact High Country Crimestoppers’ Watauga County office at (828) 268-6959. All information will be kept confidential and Crimestoppers pays rewards for information that leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property.
