Crimestoppers: Break-in at Boone Apartment Complex PDF Print

Boone authorities are looking for two suspects who forced their way into an apartment over the weekend and stole several electronics items.

 

According to Detective Glen Kornhauser of the Boone Police Department, Saturday evening between 6:00 and 7:00, two suspects forced their way into an apartment in the C building of AppSouth Apartments and stole a 42” plasma television, a PlayStation 3 video game console, and a Dell laptop computer.

Witnesses said the first suspect is a black male with medium skin tone.  He stands between 6’4” and 6’5” and weighs between 280 and 310 pounds.  He’s believed to be in his early twenties.  The suspect was wearing a tan jacket, a white t-shirt, black jeans and Nike “Air Force One” sneakers.

The second suspect is another black male with medium skin tone.  He stands about 6’3”, weighs between 180 and 190 pounds, and is also believed to be in his early twenties.  He was wearing a “Black Label” brand zip up jacket, black faded jeans, and black sneakers.

Witnesses also reported seeing the suspects putting the television in a dark green, late 1990’s model, Toyota Camry.

Anyone with information about this crime should contact Watauga County’s High Country Crimestoppers’ Office at (828) 268-6959.  All information will be kept confidential and Crimestoppers pays rewards for information that leads to an arrests or recovery of stolen property.
