Officials with Watauga County Parks and Recreation said the tennis courts on Hunting Hills Lane remain closed for maintenance.

Amy Parsons of the parks and rec. department said recent rainy weather has hindered the maintenance project at the complex’ tennis courts causing delays in completion.

The courts should be open on Thursday, October 1.

Parsons wants to remind residents, besides the courts on ASU’s campus, the tennis courts at Watauga High School are also available for public use after school hours.

Watauga County Parks and Rec. Director, Stephen Poulos, said crews have installed bases for the basketball goals that will be located where the skate park used to be located.  Poulos said after crews finish repairing the tennis courts, they will move on to working to install the basketball courts.
