Blowing Rock Hospital has received the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The hospital earned the approval by demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety.
The Joint Commission has been voluntarily accrediting hospitals and health facilities throughout the nation since 1951. Earning the Gold Seal of Approval is a testament that Blowing Rock Hospital is adhering to national standards for health care quality and safety. The award comes after an unannounced visit and survey of the hospital in 2006. That visit included reviews of Blowing Rock Hospital’s Critical Access Hospital, Home Care program, Laboratory and Long Term Care Facility.
