With well over 30,000 Appalachian State football fans expected to flood Boone on Saturday, the Town of Boone has announced a new parking plan for the downtown area.

According to town officials, parking along King Street, from Appalachian to Water Street, and the town’s parking lot on Depot Street will be reserved for shoppers at downtown Boone businesses during ASU home games.

All other town of Boone parking spaces will be sold for $15.

The town will also make spaces in the Horn in the West parking lot available after 1:00 p.m.

Traffic coordinators will be placed several locations along King Street to direct visitors to various lots.

Boone officials would also like to remind residents that alcohol is not allowed on Town of Boone property.
