Golfers in the PGA Tour’s Champions Tour will stop by nearby Catawba County next week for the Greater Hickory Classic Golf Tournament.

The tournament will be held next week from September 14 until the 20 at Conover’s Rock Barn Golf and Spa.

The 54-hole tournament has a $1.75 million purse and will be televised on the Golf Channel.  According to organizers, all net proceeds will be donated to area charties.

R.W. Eaks has won the last two tournaments at Rock Barn.
