Sophomore wide receiver Justin Feagin, who was kicked off the University of Michigan football team last week by head coach Rich Rodriguez for violating team rules, won't be coming to Boone afterall.
It was reported late last week that Feagin, a Florida native, would transfer to Appalachian State following his dismal in Ann Arbor. But according to the Detroit Free Press and ESPN, Feagin was involved in a cocaine deal that ended with a dorm room on fire, a fellow student being arrested and Feagin himself back home in Florida.
Feagin came to Michigan as part of Rodriguez's first recruiting class last year, but had his problems both on and off the field. He has also admitted through police reports that he was arrested twice for battery and trespassing.
A source close to ASU told Joe Schad of ESPN that because of academic concerns and details of the Free Press report on Feagin's drug activity that he would not be admitted to the school.
