| Employment Security Commission Announces Increase in Benefits |

Qualified unemployed North Carolinians will see an increase in the maximum weekly benefit amount paid by the North Carolina Employment Security Commission.
According to the ESC, the increase began this week.
The maximum benefit increased from $494 per week to $505 per week.
According to ESC Chairman Moses Carey Jr., North Carolina has the highest maximum weekly benefit of all the Southeastern states.
Residents who think they may see the $11 increase can visit www.ncesc.com and log in to find out the weekly benefit amount and duration of their claim.
