| Rangers Have Free Events Scheduled at Blue Ridge Parkway |

Ranger Amy Renfranz of the Blue Ridge Parkway said there are several free events scheduled for this week.
Ranger Amy will lead a wildflower walk on Wednesday afternoon 5:30. The hike will begin at the Cone Manor. The hike will take about an hour-and-a-half and will last about two miles.
A special event just for kids will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 when rangers teach children about herbivores that call the Blue Ridge Mountains home. This 45-minute session will be held at the Julian Price Park Amphitheater.
Jeopardy on the Parkway will be held at 8:00 on Friday Night at the Julian Price Park Amphitheater.
A ranger will also lead a program about plants and wildlife that call a pond home during a 40-minute on Saturday night at 7:30 at the Julian Price Park Amphitheater.
A “Puppets on the Parkway” program will be held on Sunday evening at 6:00 at the Julian Price Park Amphitheater. This program will last about 45 minutes and will teach children how a sunflower makes its own food.
As always these events are free and open to the public.
