The Boone Police Department is investigating a near break-in at an area church.

Police said someone disabled the alarm system at Greenway Baptist Church sometime late last night or early this morning.

Investigators said after disabling the security system, the suspect did not enter the building.  Authorities believe something may have scared the suspect off.

So far, Boone Police have no suspects in the case.
