A Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputy was found not guilty of assault charges in Buncombe County.

Our Foothills Bureau reports Captain Monty Poarch was accused of bumping a woman with his car in the parking lot of an Asheville restaurant after an alleged dispute over a parking place in February.

After a short deliberation yesterday, a jury in the Buncombe County Superior Court acquitted Poarch of the assault charges.
