With yesterday’s scattered thunderstorms in some areas of the High Country and Foothills, our Foothills Bureau reports a woman from Lenoir was struck by lighting.

The woman appeared to be fine after the strike and walked away from the incident, although the Lenoir Fire Department and Caldwell County EMS responded to the scene.
