4th of July is coming up- and this year’s parade theme in Boone is “Stepping out for Freedom.”  The grand marshals will be the National Guard’s 1451st Transportation Company of Boone. Following its typical route from Horn in the West Drive to King Street and then onto Waters Street, the parade begins at 2 p.m. Participants will start lining up at 12 p.m. at the Horn in the West parking lot.
