A Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living employee was arrested Wednesday after investigators believe she stole medication from the company.

According to Detective David Osborne of the Boone Police Department, 43-year-old Kerry Norris Lloyd, of Deep Gap, was arrested on two counts of larceny by an employee and two counts of simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Lloyd was given a $5,000 secured bond and will appear in court on August 14.
