The Town of Boone’s Chief of Police, Bill Post, will be retiring at the end of this month, according to one town official.

The Town of Boone stopped accepting resumes for the job opening a few days ago and have reportedly received well over 100 applications.

Post has served as Chief of the Boone Police Department since 1998.
