20-year-old Evelyn Sue Eller-Pope was arrested on misdemeanor child abuse charges.

According to Investigator Glen Kornhauser of the Boone Police Department, Eller-Pope’s charges stemmed from an incident that occurred last Wednesday.

Kornhauser said the 20-year-old was arrested after investigators looked into an incident in which a 13-month-old sustained injuries from a fall.

Eller-Pope was given a $1,000 bond and will appear in court on August 26.
