The Mast General Store Annex in Valle Crucis will play host to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute on Saturday.
Eron Schell, of the Mast General Store, told High County Radio the Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute will be at the Annex location this weekend to help educate the public about the service the institute provides what to do if they find an injured animal.
Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute is part of Lees-McRae College and is a non-profit organization that rehabilitates sick, injured, and orphaned native North American wildlife.
Schell said the organization cares for over 600 wild animals each year.
Representatives from the Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute will be at the Mast General Store Annex in Valle Crucis from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
