The much-anticipated digital television transition will take place next Friday, June 12.

The Federal Communications Commission postponed the DTV transition in February to give Americans a few more months to purchase digital converter boxes.

Residents who have cable or satellite services will not be affected.  The switch will affect only residents who receive their television signals over the air.  More information about the digital transition can be found at www.dtv.gov.
