The Hospitality House in Boone has been awarded $500,000 from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency.
Representative Cullie Tarleton and Senator Steve Goss said the money will be used to complete the second phase of construction of a 64-bed facility in Boone. Once the facility is completed, the building will provide emergency, transitional, and permanent housing for the homeless.
Both elected officials expressed excitement about the future of the Hospitality House and said it serves a great purpose to the community.
