Congratulations to rising senior Katherine Mayhew of the Pioneers. Katherine has been selected to play for the West women in the North Carolina State Games in Charlotte June 20-21.

Mayhew, who was selected among 65 players trying out for the squad, will be Watauga’s only representative. A.C. Reynolds coach Patrick Gladys will coach the West women; former WHS assistant coach Brian Jillings, now the men’s coach at Hickory, will coach the West men. The state games will be played at Queens University in Charlotte.
