Watauga County authorities are looking for the person or people who broke into several vehicles in the Kellwood Community.

Detective Glen Kornhauser of the Boone Police Department said the break-ins occurred sometime overnight on Sunday.

CD’s, cash, a Kel-Tec handgun, and a Toshiba laptop were reportedly taken.

Anyone with information about the break-ins should contact High Country Crimestoppers’ Watauga County office at (828) 268-6959.

The Boone Police Department also wants to remind everyone to be sure and lock their vehicles and removing valuable items from sight.
