No injuries were reported in the single-car wreck on Highway 321 just south of Boone this morning.

High Country Radio was able to catch up with the investigating trooper of the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

Trooper Josh Hodges said around 8:45 a.m., 21-year-old Sable Nicole Adams of Valdese was driving a Honda passenger vehicle north on Highway 321 around the curve near the Elk Motel.

Hodges said Adams was driving too fast, lost control of her vehicle, and drove off the left side of the road, through a guardrail, and down an embankment.

Hodges said the vehicle sustained heavy damage, but other than the guardrail, no other property was damaged in the crash.

Besides the driver, no one else was in the vehicle and Adams was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
