Governor Bev Perdue will sign new legislation that will ban smoking in all restaurants and bars across the state tomorrow morning at 11:30.

The governor will sign the bill in the Old House Chamber in the State Capitol Building in Raleigh.

Perdue will be joined by the legislative sponsors, lawmakers, and other state officials.

The smoking ban will take effect starting January 2, 2010.
