Today at 5 in Sugar Mountain, last month’s decision by Judge James Downs is on the agenda.

Downs decided the forced annexation of several areas around the Village of Sugar Mountain was unlawful. Tonight’s town council meeting may answer the question on the petitioners’ minds. Will the Village file an appeal? Village Manager David Lane says its impossible to predict what the council will do..  

Lane told us last month he felt the Village would file an appeal. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will be held in the Village Chambers.
