Brian Lambeth said he entered a t-shirt design contest called “TV Show Titles Re-Interpreted.” His shirt featured the GI Joe logo with a coffee mug in place of the GI Joe text.
The pun plays off of “joe” being a synonym for coffee.
Lambeth said his shirt became available for sale online on Monday. Lambeth explained he received $1,000 for the first day of t-shirt sales and will receive $2 per shirt sold after the first day.
Lambeth said he is giving all of his proceeds to OASIS, who fights domestic violence and sexual assault in Watauga County.
