|Domestic violence victims protection bill passes|

A bill that would make it easier for a domestic
violence victim to change her name and to provide more information to
applicants of protective orders about legal aid, victims’ compensation and
other services floated through the General Assembly.
Its next stop is Governor Mike Easley for final approval.
