Cannon Memorial Hospital donated $10,000 to the Avery County Habitat for Humanity.

According to Gillian Baker of the Appalachian Regional Heathcare System, the donated money was raised over the last two years through a variety of community fundraisers and through the support from the Appalachian Regional Healthcare System family.

Cannon Memorial Hospital has several upcoming fundraisers to help raise money for the Ashe County Habitat for Humanity including a 5k race later this month and two Habitat Live After Five events in July and August.
