The town of Blowing Rock can boast three finalists for the Best Dish in North Carolina statewide competition.
The Executive Director for the Blowing Rock Tourism Development Authority Tracy Brown said, Crippens Country Inn and Restaurant and the Table at Crestwood are finalists in the fine dining category and Storie Street Grille is a finalist in the casual dining category.
According to Brown, Crippens Country Inn and Restaurant and Storie Street and Grille have seen recent success in this competition as Crippens won first place in 2006 and Storie Street placed third in 2007.
The restaurants in each category will be judged by an anonymous panel of three people who will sample the entries and evaluate menus based on use of North Carolina products, creativity, presentation, taste, and promotion. The first, second, and third place winners will be announced in August.
