|Watauga County Special Olympics on Thursday|

Watauga High School will host the Watauga County Special Olympics Spring Games on Thursday.
According to Amy Parsons of Watauga County Parks and Recreation, everyone in the community is invited to cheer on the athletes.
The Special Olympics will begin at 10:00 Thursday morning with a parade of athletes, special speakers, and the lighting of the cauldron.
Parsons said, track and field events, bocce, powerlifting, and aquatic events will be held at Watauga High and other venues in Boone.
