A Boone man has been arrested on charges related to writing and presenting stolen checks. 33-year-old Sean Jamason Arnold of Boone has been charged with three counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense and three counts of uttering forged instruments.
A Boone man has been arrested on charges related to writing and presenting stolen checks. 33-year-old Sean Jamason Arnold of Boone has been charged with three counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense and three counts of uttering forged instruments. According to Boone Police Investigator Matthew Stevens, Arnold is alleged to have written and presented stolen checks at Big Lots, Farmer’s Rentals and Ingles. He then allegedly pawned the items by way of these checks. Arnold was located and taken into custody when Watauga County Sheriff’s responded to a disturbance complaint and ran a criminal check on him. He was then taken into Boone Police custody where he was given a $6,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court April 12th
