The Watauga County Democratic Party will hold their 2009 County Convention this weekend.

Party members will elect county executive officers and delegates for the 5th District Convention in May.  Members will also discuss several resolutions submitted to the convention by different precincts.

According to the secretary of the county party, Jerry Williamson, of the Democratic Party, the convention will feature a potluck luncheon and will feature keynote addresses by State Senator Steve Goss, State Representative Cullie Tarleton, Chair of the Watauga County Commission Jim Deal, and Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson.

The convention will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in the main courtroom of the Watauga County Courthouse.
