WHS baseball PPD; rest of schedule will be played PDF Print

The Watauga High baseball team had its game with Freedom cancelled for a second-consecutive day.

 

The game will be made up on Monday, April 20th here is Boone. The Pioneers t(9-3 overall; 6-1 and in first place in the Northwestern 4A Conference) takes on McDowell tomorrow night in a battle for first place.. The right-hander Jon Sharpe will be on the mound. Sharpe is 4-1 with a save. Lifetime, this will be his fourth appearance against the Titans. He’s 1-1, which includes a 5-4 loss in Marion back on March 17th of this year.

 The Titans, who play a non-conference game at North Buncombe tonight, have won three in a row and they’ve outscored their opponents by the whopping margin of 38-7 during that stretch. Our coverage begins at 6:05 pm on 100.7, MAC-FM.


The rest of tonight’s games will be played as scheduled. WHS softball and women’s soccer play at Freedom; WHS men’s tennis entertains Newton-Conover, and WHS track and field travels to West Caldwell for a mid-week meet.


Results of all these events will come your way on Thursday morning beginning at 6:45 pm on WATA.
