Traffic-related fatalities in North Carolina have decreased by more than 17 percent from this time last year.

According to more statistics released by the Department of Motor Vehicles, alcohol-related traffic fatalities have decreased nearly 20 percent and motorcycle fatalities are down 26 percent.
