Residents visiting parks in Watauga County now have the option of recycling their drink containers because several parks now have new recycling bins.

Watauga County’s Recycling Coordinator, Lisa Doty, said the bins are located at the Tot Lot, Brookshire Park, Optimist Fields, Industrial Fields, and the Anne Marie Park.

Doty said the recycling bins were purchased with grant money from the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources and funds from the county.
