Senator Kay Hagan had a full plate this week in Washington.
Hagan started her week in North Carolina as she delivered the keynote address at the North Carolina Associated Press Luncheon.
After returning to Washington, Hagan joined the Senate Rural Health Caucus, which was created to be a “forum to exchange ideas and information about rural health issues and legislation.”
Hagan spent most of Thursday on the Senate floor, participating in “Vote-a-Rama,” where 230 amendments had been filed. The senator was scheduled to preside from 2:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m., but the Senate adjourned before 4:00.
Hagan said the Senate passed the budget she voted in favor of just before midnight.
Hagan also met with several groups from North Carolina including a N.C. delegation of Business Professional Women, 4H students, the N.C. Association of Broadcasters, and several others.
