The Watauga High baseball team will play six games over the next seven days. It all begins on Tuesday when Freedom comes to town for a Northwestern 4A Conference game.

The Pioneers will then play McDowell (8-2 overall; 5-1 NW4A) on Thursday night at home. The Titans, who play Alexander Central at home on Saturday, are currently in second place, one-half game behind WHS for that number one seed. South Caldwell (8-2; 5-2), which lost to WHS on Friday night, is currently in third place, one game off the lead.

The Pioneers travel to Clemmons on Saturday to play a non-conference game against West Forsyth before they go to Cary for an Easter Tournament, which begins a week from Monday. The Pioneers will play Class 3A powerhouse Ragsdale in the opening round. They will play an unannounced opponent later that day.

The Freedom and McDowel games can be heard on 100.7, MAC-FM with the air-time at 6:05 pm. There will be no radio coverage for next Saturday’s game, or the Easter Tournament.
