State lawmakers tentatively passed legislation that would ban smoking from restaurants and other places of business that admit children.
WXII broke the story late Wednesday night.
According to the Winston-Salem television station, the N.C. House tentatively passed the legislation Wednesday evening with a 75-42 vote after the bill was changed to allow smoking in bars and other establishments that don’t employ or serve anyone under 18 years old.
