WEST JEFFERSON -- A single-car wreck claimed the life of a West Jefferson man Thursday according to the state patrol. 

The wreck occurred on Boggs Road,four miles south of West Jefferson, and claimed the life of 66-year old Lester Jones of West Jefferson.  The state patrol says that Jones died at the scene after his vehicle ran off of the road and struck a boulder.
