It's a family tradition to Elledge-Grapes, whose parents were also in the show.

Eventually, Elledge-Grapes’ career took her took to New York where she was in a Broadway show, films and soaps. It was her love of the mountains that brought her right back to the High Country. Once the mountains are in your blood, she says, there’s no escape.

Horn in the West is a vital see for High Country residents, she says.

It's the history of this town, and something every local should experience.

Horn in the West premieres Friday. For ticket information, call 828-264-2120.
