Boone P.D. to Start Up Bicycle Patrol for Spring PDF Print

With warmer weather here in the High Country, Boone Police Officers are making plans to return to bicycle patrol.

According to Officer Andy LeBeau of the Boone P.D., officers will have an increased presence around town and especially on the Greenway Trail.

In order to cut down citations, LeBeau said, “We would like to remind everyone to keep their dogs on a leash and to wear a bicycle helmet while riding a bike.  City ordinances regulating these issues will be enforced for the safety of all of Boone’s residents and visitors.”

LeBeau said Greenway visitors should also remember to lock your car doors and not to leave valuables in an unattended vehicle.
