It’s a year away, but the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame is already planning its first induction for June 13, 2008.
The Hall will be on the second floor of the Wilkes Heritage Museum in the restored old Wilkes Courthouse. The Hall will honor those involved with music of any kind who were either born or active within the greater Blue Ridge Mountains area, according to chair Art Menius. Over 200 people have already been selected as candidates for the honor. Voting will take place between October and January. The announcement came Friday during the Wilkes Heritage Festival.
